Introduction to brazing plate replacement applications in liquid-cooled data centers
Liquid-cooled data centers refer to data centers that apply liquid cooling technology and liquid-cooled servers and other equipment. The industry divides liquid cooling into direct cooling and indirect cooling. At present, direct cooling is mainly based on immersion liquid cooling technology, which can be divided into phase change and non-phase change. Indirect cooling is mainly based on cold plate liquid cooling technology. The immersed liquid cooling medium is fluorinated liquid, and its biggest feature is that it is insulating and non-flammable. The fluorinated liquid takes away the heat generated by the components in the liquid-cooled cabinet and cools it through the brazing plate exchanger in the CDU. Compared with air-cooled systems, liquid-cooled data centers can save about 30% of energy, effectively reduce energy consumption ratio, and can reduce PUE (an indicator of data center energy efficiency) to 1.05, meeting the requirements of green data centers.
