Introduction to brazed plate heat exchanger
2022 08/24
Brazing refers to a welding method in which the filler metal lower than the melting point of the weldment and the weldment are simultaneously heated to the melting temperature of the solder, and then the liquid filler metal is used to fill the gaps between the solid workpieces to connect the metals. Divided into hard soldering and soft soldering.
Brazing is a brazing process where the melting point of the filler metal is higher than 450°C. Brazing materials include copper-based, silver-based, aluminum-based alloys. Commonly used fluxes include sand, boric acid, fluoride, chloride, etc. Heating methods include flame heating, salt bath heating, resistance heating, high-frequency induction heating, etc. The strength of brazed joints is as high as 490MPa, which is suitable for workpieces with larger forces and higher working temperatures.
Soldering where the melting point of the solder is lower than 450°C is soft soldering. Commonly used solder materials are tin-lead alloys. Commonly used fluxes are rosin, ammonium chloride solution, etc. Commonly used soldering iron and other flame heating.
